Did you know that just one basket of restaurant tortilla chips can contain as many as 1,000 calories? When dining out, try to carefully limit or even skip the chips. Finishing a full glass of water before your meal arrives can help with this. The result is fewer total pre-meal calories.
How about calories in the bread basket. One slice has around 100 calories . Add butter, even a teaspoon and you have added another 50 calories.
How about an small appetizer? Chicken Wings can add up in a hurry at 730 calories! How about dried ribs? These little guys have around 900 calories. Let’s try the potato skins. These beauties have a 250 calories in three pieces. Can you eat only three?
Okay, you’ve decided to skip the starters and have a drink instead. A 16-ounce serving of regular soda or iced tea usually has around 200 calories. Maybe drinking water is the best choice while waiting for your meal to arrive. Bon appetite!
