I read John Robbins’ book, Diet for a New America about ten years ago and I was sickened by how the meat industry treats animals. Nothing much has changed in that period of time it would seem. In 1988 he founded EarthSave an organization that was developed after the large reader response to his book. The organization works to promote healthy, environmentally sound food choices. The following video is an excerpt from Processed People.

Tragically, many Americans are victims of a “health care” system and way of life which are devastating to our overall well-being. To those running our system, the bottom line on the dollars we’re able to spend is more important than the bottom line on our health. We’re caught in a perpetual grinding machine, unable to escape.
